Released on 15th May 2026, I've had the chance to play it earlier, thanks to early access.
Compared to Forza Horizon 5, which was released in late 2025, and set in Mexico, it is a big upgrade. The world feels.. alive. You've got the seasons feature, where you can experience and live Japan in all four different seasons, which I personally prefer the SPRING season, living the original Japan life during spring, surrounded by lively pink cherry blossoms, and the green nature and atmosphere of Japan's ecosystem.
The game itself has better, WAY better graphics than Forza Horizon 5, which was expected, but Playground Games stepped up and actually delivered an improvement. Playing the game in EXTREME + RT felt fresh, also smooth, running the game on 144fps on 2k resolution. The game launched very well, optimized, unlike its predecessor.
The cars have been updated, new, cleaner models, with a lot more attention to details, finally getting a good look at a car's engine. Sound effects also got an update, cars sounding way more nice and realistic, turbo finally sounds realistic and not arcade.
The races are also better, but I feel like there were a lot of.. dirt races, being circuit or sprint. Other than that, they are very well made, but my favourite being The Goliath race, where you can race all around Japan (my pb is 25-30 minutes, I took my sweet time)
This was my humble opinion and experience with Forza Horizon 6. Will share my experiences and opinions on games I've shot so far and played, didn't know I'll enjoy leaving reviews for games.
